Our Story

The Holiness Church of God of Bethlehem, Inc was founded when a group of like minded Brothers and Sisters made the decision to turn their weekly Friday night prayers into something more. Led by the late Pastor Fadinel Trémont, 36 people came together and the church was officially established as a religious and charitable institution in May 1992.

Unsure about the durability and sustainability of the church, Rev. Tremont did not establish a formal administration. That is, until a church member had a dream instructing that as Moses did for the people of Israel in the wilderness, Rev. Trémont should walk in front of the people and not behind. On December 12, 1992, the church was inaugurated, and Rev. Trémont was ordained as the official Lead Pastor. Several years later, the late Rev. Osper Jean-Simon was inaugurated as Assistant Pastor.

Over the years, the church grew and prospered with Rev. Fadinel and Rev. Jean-Simon leading the charge. Much like everyone else however, 2020 was a difficult year for the church. We lost several members to COVID-19 including both of our Pastors. We cried, mourned, and cried some more. But God's work must go on. So we prayed and persevered. We now have new leadership in Pastor Wellington W. Louissaint who was inaugurated on April 4th, 2021. We pray that God continues to use us any way He sees fit.
